                                      My Journey in Learning ICT.


It’s an amazing journey to learn MS Word through ICT. It is an essential and useful software that enable us to produce document in various way and increase our output. I started  to learn the fundamentals of text formatting  like fonts, sizes, styles, text effect and  typography. I soon became familiar with the page break, page number, ribbon, symbols,  menus, and toolbar. Few simple things like saving and opening documents have became automatic. MS Word is  vast  document indeed. In word, document can be converted in various ways which ease our work. To master the word document,  I continued to learn and put them in use on a daily basis.  

 

Moving on to the next exciting topic about the process of creating My ePortfolio, I was amazed as it is an digital tool to compile my success, work and reflection. And it is also a tool to reflect on my performance   and to check how dedicated I am to this module. It was fun  when I learned that we can insert photo either from  picture or from google(online photo). I have learned  its effectiveness of digital storytelling in showing my skills and goal.

 

Embarking on the journey of  learning the process of creating questions, survey and quiz using a google form was  incredible and transformative. Thanks to google form,  it became simple to create questions from multiple-choice to open-ended questions. It was enlightening journey to embrace the world of google sites.  Google meet is a fantastic tool which enable  people to collaborate with each other  and conduct video meeting  online. Use of google meet not only ease the work but also make sure that google meet offers a collaboration features to the people. Google calendar which posses a multiple uses is taught. Whereby, it can be used for personal time management, scheduling the important meeting or works.

 

 I had never once thought that  result were made using  Excel sheet. I was shocked at first and I felt funny reflecting on my own. One thing that fascinate me is that we can protect our data using password in the sheet. Learning of Excel sheet was a transformative though. My journey in learning ICT  has been  full of challenges  and I take a deep appreciation to thank for the world of technology. So, in this blog I will take you through my journey in learning ICT as a B.Ed IT student in this college.

Empowering Young Minds: Applying Learning Theories in the Classroom

1.      Piaget’s Constructivist Theory: Building Knowledge Through Exploration. Piaget believed that students construct knowledge through exploration. For adolescents in the formal operational stage, abstract thinking is now possible. The theory support discovery learning and allow learners to have autonomy. However, one limitation is that it may not fully accommodate individual learning space or speeds, especially for students who need or require special assistance to acquire the concepts.   During Micro-Teaching, in my lesson on flowcharts, students explored the concept through examining the real life experience and breaking down the problem into steps. Reflection on Passion based-learning and Maslow Hierarchy learning of needs in Educational setting

  INTRODUCTION  As I open my laptop to write this final blog, I feel a deep sense of nostalgia and passion for the teaching career a passion that has been with me since my pre-primary school days. Back then, I believed learning was simply about reading, memorizing, understanding, and listening to what the teacher taught. However, as I began my journey toward becoming an ICT teacher, I realized that learning is much more than what I had imagined.
